It’s back! The Winter Youth Retreat is proud to announce that the Video Contest is making a return appearance this year. We’d love for you, your friends, youth group members, family, fellow retreaters, past retreaters, or even obnoxious cousins visiting for the holidays to make a video that will be shown on the last night of the retreat.
The qualifications for the video are…
- Video must be 3-10 minutes long.
- Video must include at least one 2007 retreater. The more involvement from 2007 retreaters, the better.
- Video must be related in some remote way to the theme “Speak Lord, your Servant is Listening.”
- Video must meet retreat standards of decency (no swearing, objectionable content, etc.). All videos will be previewed by at least two retreat council members before they are shown.
- Videos must be completed by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, December 28th. No one is allowed to miss a required retreat session to work on their video.
- Video must be put on a playable DVD or in an AVI file format.
Videos will be judged by an independent panel of experts (or whoever we can round up from housekeeping – kidding!). Scores will be given based on creativity, inclusion of retreaters, and relation to the 2007 theme. Prizes will be awarded, including gift cards and restaurant gift certificates.
